Strength Training Philosophy
Effective strength training requires a clear understanding of the end goal. For some this will be a target size or shape whereas in sport we often aim for an amount of power or capacity to work. We need to have a clear understanding of how we want the target muscles to function to create the adaptations we want. When returning from injury it is common to aim for Limb Symmetry, this is an indication that the injured leg is as strong as the uninjured side. Sounds like a great starting point.... and that is what it is a starting point. Playing sport is very different to training in the gym. Balance, posture, movement strategies all affect injury risk.

In my experience a strict diet plan isn't sustainable or practical. Therefore instead I offer guidance and optimisations along the way. I am a strong advocate of a food first, healthy approach instead of expensive and unnecessary supplements and shakes.
